Carp fishing hauler and England international, Mark Bartlett, looks back at those three captures over the years that mean the most to him..
1) St. John’s ‘Box Common’ @ 47lb 11oz
The Box Common from St. John's lake on the Linear Complex is a fish that I have watched grow from strength to strength over the years as I grew up fishing this lake and done my apprenticeship in carp fishing here. The lake and its carp are truly stunning creatures and I was certainly over the moon when she rolled over the cord at a new lake record at the time of 47lb 1oz. What made it even better was we got to film her for the Edges DVD! A pink pop up on a size 6 ready tied Chod Rig hook section along with a 8" 20lb Dark Camo Camotex Semi-Stiff boom section doing the business.
